Drastically Reduced Sentence Prior to Trial in Embezzlement Case
Attorney Silver represented a client accused of embezzlement of over $100,000, which if convicted could have resulted in a maximum eight years in prison. Prior to trial, an offer was proposed for just three years, but believing his client was best served by a trial, attorney Silver pushed forward. On the eve of the trial, a new offer was made for nine months. Attorney Silver further negotiated to have the sentence finalized at a mere six months.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
